Gloria E. Santano
September 22, 1954 – June 11, 1984
Gloria was more than a name — she was a mother, a dreamer, and a woman of quiet strength. She brought light into the lives of those around her, but her own life was tragically cut short by domestic violence. At just 29 years old, she passed away suddenly, leaving behind no financial plan, no insurance, and a family left to face both grief and hardship.
I was only three years old when my mother died. For many years, I didn’t even know where she was buried, and she had no tombstone. About three years ago, I finally found her grave and spent my own money to give her a headstone — a small way to honor her life and the love she gave.
Her loss became the turning point of my life. From that pain, I found my purpose. Just as pearls are formed through adversity, this agency — Gloria Policies & Pearls Insurance — was born from loss, transforming tragedy into protection and legacy for others.
Today, every policy written in Gloria’s name carries her legacy forward: a promise that no family should be left unprotected, and that love can live on through planning and preparation.
As part of this mission, I am committed to donating a portion of future proceeds to RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network), in honor of my mother and in support of survivors of domestic violence and abuse.
Gloria’s life may have been short, but through this agency, her name and spirit will continue to shine — like pearls formed in the depths of adversity, becoming a lasting symbol of beauty, wisdom, and resilience.
